We've undertaken environmental impact assessments for the development of a 430-megawatt combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) at Great Island, County Wexford and a 450-megawatt CCGT at Tarbert Island County Kerry. The sites were sensitive due to the immediate proximity of sites protected under the EU Habitats Directive and Birds Directive.

In the transmission and distribution sector we completed feasibility studies, outline design, and a foreshore license application for two 1.9-mile (3-kilometer) 220kV submarine cable circuits across Cork Harbour and Shannon Estuary.

We're contributed to water infrastructure including major drainage works in Limerick, Cork, and Waterford cities, water treatment systems in counties Cork, Clare, Kerry, and Cavan and flood defenses in Clonmel and Carrick on Suir. One of our flagship projects is the Cork Main drainage project, which includes the largest wastewater treatment in Ireland outside of Dublin, serving a population of 413,000. The scheme also includes a 1.6-mile (2.6-kilometer) interceptor sewer constructed as a 4.9-foot (1.5-meter) diameter bored tunnel. We have had a major role in the development of national and regional strategies intended to implement EU Directives. We were the lead consultant for the development of the river basin management plans for two of the five river basins in Ireland. We prepared a preliminary flood risk assessment and management study on behalf of the Office of Public Works as part of the implementation of the EU Floods Directive.
