The wetlands have been successful in trapping pollution, reducing bad odors, creating a more pleasant pond, and providing a new habitat for local biodiversity, including the common frog.

The park is located on both sides of the Tolka River between Pelletstown, Finglas, and Glasnevin in Dublin City.

The closure of gates half an hour before the designated time allows for all gates to be closed at the designated hour, ensuring the safety and security of the park.

One visitor described the park as very nice, with walks that are much nicer and closer to nature.
